Strolling along the internet yesterday looking for some cool ideas for baby birth announcements I came across a site that sold tea bag birth announcements. There were simple tea bags in paper wrappers but the wrappers had the birth information printed on them. It got me thinking about how you could customize any small token of friendship or appreciation with baby birth announcement stickers.

Baby birth announcement stickers would be a great way to create a unique birth announcement without the expense of custom engraving or printing. Square, round or oval stickers that compliment the shape of your chosen gift whether it’s a box chocolates, tea bags, children’s book or form of stationery are ideal. Buy stickers by the roll or by the sheet depending on how many birth announcements you intend to make and mail.

Remember to include all the pertinent birth information such as weight, date, time, length and baby’s name on your custom announcement sticker. Think about aesthetically pleasing spacing and don’t just write everything in one long sentence. In fact sentence format really isn’t appropriate for the sticker format. Think about centering the information and facts in the center of the sticker for a clean look.

Write your birth statistical information on one side (left or right not back and front) of the sticker and place an image or clipart on the other side. Most printing places will let you upload a photograph and it will cost the same if just a little more than using their stock images. The baby image in black and white on a white sticker with black writing is a nice simple look with a lot of punch.

Color, when used appropriately and sparingly, can look nice on a birth announcement sticker. Choose the nursery colors or if you go with a color photograph of the baby, choose a color that contrasts with the baby’s outfit or blanket for maximum effect.

Like any kind of birth announcement, the custom sticker announcement is a matter of personal preferences and budget. It’s an economical way to make an impact or customize birth announcement gifts. It’s just plain cute.
