Reasons to go with a No Photo Birth Announcement
There are a number of reasons to choose a baby birth announcement that has no space for a photograph. Whether it’s a matter of indecision or illness, going with a no photograph announcement is still a viable and pretty option.
Selecting the photograph for your baby’s birth announcement can be a wonderful moment or a harrowing ordeal. If it’s a harrowing ordeal then just don’t do it. If you spend every spare moment looking at the same five pictures of your darling baby and can’t decide which is the cutest or which captures their personality best then let it go. Print the images up for the baby album and send out an announcement with a nice background design and pretty lettering. It’s not the end of the world.
A sick baby is nothing to celebrate and may take up all your time after the birth. Regardless of whether the illness is serious or treatable, quick or lingering, it can be something you don’t wish to document on your birth announcements. It seems a bit mean to take a lot of photos of a sick child just to make your birth announcements look pretty. People will understand why you chose the no picture option.
Baby has a rash or some other temporary condition that may embarrass them when they are older if you print it on their birth announcement. This is a quite common reason for leaving the photo section out of the birth announcement. Your cute little baby with the cradle cap will one day (too soon) be your 13 year old mortified teenager who just can’t believe you sent “that” image out to the world. You can always send out follow up cards or photo holiday cards in this case. You know, when the image will be less embarrassing to your child.
Want to get a professional photo done but don’t have the time before you want to send out the cards? The professional photography session with your newborn child is a nice idea but those first six weeks of parenthood are a whirl wind of dirty diapers, crying babies, unannounced guests, bad food and very little if any sleep. Who has the time or the inclination? Well you may want to but it’s just not possible to schedule the time. Sitting down and uploading a pre chosen design from your wish list to your shopping cart is much easier.
Having a no photo birth announcement can be a cute way to avoid stress or future issues with your child. There are a number of different templates and designs out there that can help you capture your baby’s personality, depict your nursery colors and share your wonderful news with friends and family.
