Mother’s Day Cards for the New Mother: Dad Gets to Work
As mom is spending her Mother’s Day sorting through images and determining the layout of her baby’s birth announcement what about Dad creating some cards of his own? The gift of greeting cards, note cards, personalized thank you cards or poster images of the new baby make great gifts for the new mom. It shouldn’t always be mom’s job to create and order the printed cards; Dad can do it too.
The baby birth announcement is a good place for Dad to get ideas about Mom’s preferences in terms of colors, patterns, images and fonts. Combine this with preferences and favorites that you already know about your wife or girlfriend to make the final design super special. Always check the documents section of the computer and look for files where mom may have drafted some designs earlier.
Decide what would be the best thing for you to make for the new mom. Thank you cards are practical but mommy business cards and custom stationary are a nice way to show you care. Be sure to use photographs of the new baby with mom to add a special touch to your creations. Be sure the picture is in the exact format (cropping, color, resolution) you want before uploading to the printer’s online order form.
If you order today, the chances of the cards arriving on Mother’s Day are of course pretty slim but it doesn’t matter. The e-mail confirmation of the order on Mother’s Day will be perfect for mom to know you planned the gift in advance, a touch all women appreciate. Be sure to present your hard working wife with a cascade of gifts and appreciation this coming weekend. She is after all the mother of your beautiful baby and that means everything.
