I just finished ordering 50 magnetic business cards for a promotional fundraiser for my side business and it got me thinking. What about magnetic birth announcements? Whether as an insert inside the printed birth announcement or handed out to friends and family as a separate birth announcement, magnets are useful, creative and sure to stand out from the birth announcement crowd.

When it comes to designing your magnetic birth announcement consider a cross between a traditional business card and a traditional birth announcement. It always looks strange when you see a lot of white space on a magnet. Use your template wisely people.

When it comes to color on the birth announcement I would suggest white writing on a black background or a primary color background with black or white writing. With magnets you want the finished result to be as obvious as possible from as far away as possible.

Remember to check the larger online printers for deals on magnetic business cards that you can use as birth announcements. There are often special offers for magnetic business cards that can save you some major money. Personally, I’d place the magnets inside the traditional printed cards for close friends and family as an extra way of keeping your precious new gift always on their mind.

Because if we don’t celebrate the children, where’s the point?
