Trying to come up with interesting ways to present your child’s birth statistics can be difficult. Maybe you can’t find the right layout, the right color palette or the right style of card. Instead of trying to encase a photograph of your child inside a birth announcement you could consider encasing a birth announcement inside a photograph of your child.

The baby in the scales has been done before but never for your child’s birth announcement. Taking a classic way of presenting birth information and putting your own spin on it can be fun. Yes put the baby in the scales but do a close up of the birth information on his wrist tag. A hand reaching upward in the center of the weight scales at the hospital is just a heart breaking but wonderful image. This way you get the information on the wrist (date time) and the weight of the baby.

Another way to go with the photographic birth announcements is to take a photo of your child right after birth when they are in that little fish tank on wheels. You know the one I mean? At the top of the tank the nurse always puts a note with the baby’s name and basic details. Catch an image of your child reaching for this sign or their shock of thick new hair just under this sign for a creative announcement image.

A cute image of your child with the birth details on a note card next to them certainly saves on paper. Get the image printed a few dozen times (use the store with the bulk order discount) and mail to friends in corresponding sized envelopes. This is a nice way to give everyone a quality full size image of your child they can frame and keep.
